Co-financed by the Communitarian Initiative of INTERREG III B of the operation programme to the European Southwest, the ISNOVA Project made a requirement analysis on the Regional Tourism Promotion in Madeira, Canarian and Balearis Islands.
Based on interviews with major tourism stakeholders, the following action plan was defined.
Which lead to the development of a tourism-oriented knowledge base, able to semantically store information about a destination and provide a generic API for integration with external applications.
To demonstrate the knowledge base usage, a Joomla! CMS componente was created and 2 web sites implemented.
